Saint JHN
Fresh off his explosive set at Coachella, SAINt JHN brought his Festival Season tour to San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, where he turned the storied venue into a futuristic altar of bass, bravado, and blistering vulnerability.
Draped in a blood-red satin tracksuit and bathed in laser light, the multi-hyphenate artist - real name Carlos St. John - strutted onto a glowing crucifix-shaped platform, silhouetted like a prophet of controlled chaos. With no hype man, no live band, and barely a word of banter, he let the music do the talking; And it spoke loud.
Drawing heavily from Festival Season - his boldest and most experimental project to date - SAINt tore through an hour-long set that zig-zagged between punk rage, hip-hop swagger, and haunting, melodic R&B. Tracks like “Glitching,” “The Gangsters,” and “Poppin” lit the crowd up from the jump, each song pounding with enough low-end to rattle the chandeliers.
But while the production was stripped-back, the intensity never dipped. Whether crooning into the mic with eyes closed or stomping across the raised stage like a prizefighter, JHN commanded the room with raw charisma and kinetic energy. The transitions were seamless. The autotune was tasteful. And yes, he actually sang.
By the time “Roses” hit, the room felt more like a pulsing open-air rave than a ballroom - and when the Imanbek remix played post-show, fans stayed, danced, and belted every word like the night wasn’t over yet.
For longtime fans, this was the full SAINt JHN experience: genre-defiant, emotionally layered, and fashion-forward. For newer converts, it was a masterclass in how an artist can blend theatricality with honesty - no gimmicks, just presence.
More than just a concert, Festival Season is JHN’s mission statement, a reminder that music can be a high, a purge, a sermon, and a celebration all at once. And judging by this performance, his garden is in full bloom and the stage is where he’s harvesting.
