Stay in Bloom Fest
As golden hour melted into twilight over Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater, Stay In Bloom 2025 transformed the serene outdoor venue into a pulsing garden of sound, emotion, and community. The festival, co-curated by melodic bass pioneers Dabin and Said the Sky, returned with its signature blend of heart, beauty, and festival-scale production — and the result was pure magic.
Kicking off with a dreamy, low-key set from Nikita, The Wicked, the early crowd trickled in with pastel fits, kandi, and flowy vibes — but by the time Hoang took the stage, the grassy bowl was already buzzing. His set offered the perfect bridge between chill and hype, bringing in dreamy drops and soaring melodies that hinted at the night’s emotional arc to come.
Then came MAX, whose infectious energy and crowd interaction pulled fans off their blankets and onto their feet. A genre-blending artist with roots in pop, R&B, and soul, he proved to be a surprisingly perfect mid-festival injection of charisma — and a reminder that Stay In Bloom isn’t just about bass drops, but full-spectrum feeling.
As the sun dipped behind the trees and the crowd thickened, William Black took the stage — and the mood shifted. A staple of the melodic bass world, Black’s emotionally charged set balanced lyrical vulnerability with heavy-hitting catharsis, leaning into tracks like “Only One I Need” and “Back To U” that had fans screaming lyrics through tears and strobes.
And finally: Dab the Sky, the euphoric joint project of Dabin and Said the Sky. With pyro blasts, towering LED visuals, and lasers cutting through the night sky, the duo dove headfirst into a set that felt both massive and deeply intimate. From guitar solos and piano breaks to melodic bangers like “Hero” and “We’re Not Alone,” every track struck a nerve — emotional, cinematic, and beautifully human.
Crowdsurfers, headbangers, and ravers alike pressed toward the rail, while others cried, hugged, or swayed beneath the stars. From diehard fans repping Dabin’s signature jersey to pastel-haired ravers twirling LED poi in the back, the atmosphere was welcoming, vulnerable, and charged with energy.
Launched in 2022, Stay In Bloom was born from the vision of creating a more emotionally expressive festival experience. Instead of pure chaos, it offers a space for beauty, storytelling, and connection. In its 2025 edition, it delivered all that and more — proving that even in the EDM space, there's room to grow, bloom, and feel.
